Enjoy cross-country trekking through hilly livestock farm in what is considered to be the most scenic spot in rural South Carlow. Travel through river, woodland, hills, hollows, our see-saw and other obstacles on a spectacular track which is quoted as being "the best in the country". The latest addition to the activities available at Country Quads, is our Shooting Cinema, the Marksman ST-2. This is a revolutionary simulated rifle and shotgun experience, which recreates the actual experience of shooting with uncanny accuracy.

Anyone, whether a complete beginner or experienced in shotgun or rifle shooting, can use the simulator to improve skills and enjoyment of the sport.

How It Works

Basically you stand in front of a wide screen, which gives the illusion that you are shooting out in the open. A variety of shooting scenarios include moving and fixed targets over all sorts of different terrain appear on the screen before you.

The animated targets that move across the screen have the same speed, trajectories and appearance as real targets would. You (or your coach) can alter the starting position, trajectory and speed of the targets resulting in an almost endless range of scenarios to practice on.

Sophisticated recording of each shot means that you can really fine tune every aspect of your performance based on feedback from the system. You’ll know in detail exactly what happened at each shot, why you missed, even if you have the correct gun fit. All of this can greatly improve your shooting technique and increase your success both in the field and in competition.

Clay pigeon shooting €40, adults only. Quading and clay pigon shooting package – for groups of eight or more €85 p.m.
