to base there is an excellent 9 hole golf course in Borris, a fully
equipped indoor and outdoor riding school and an outdoor swimming
pool at Bagenalstown. The well known Gowran Park racecourse is within
a four mile drive of Lorum Old Rectory.

you wish to extend your stay, there are numerous options for entertainment
including the medieval city of Kilkenny, with its fine old shops,
cathedrals and historic buildings, our capital city Dublin and the
monastic settlement in Glendalough to name but a few.
