Surrounded by lush countryside with panoramic views of Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs Mountains Orchard Grove is the perfect location for that relaxing break! With famous walking routes including The South Leinster and Barrow Ways located closeby and numerous sporting opportunities on the Barrow, Ireland’s second longest river, Orchard Grove is equally an ideal retreat for the sports enthusiast.

Nearby attractions include Shankill Castle in Paulstown, an 18th century house on the ruins of a Butler Castle and Wells Church dating from the 13th century.

Bagenalstown, is a pretty town with handsome stone public buildings, riverside walks, picnic tables and a picturesque lock.

A trip to the southern reaches of the county is sure to reveal many delights including the picturesque village of Borris, a short 15 minute drive. Handsome stone-cut buildings and traditional shop and pub fronts add to its appeal.
