Since opening in May 2000, Killerig Golf Club is going from strength to strength and winning many golfing admirers along the way. Located just outside Carlow town in a fabulous setting with the Wicklow Mountains to the east and Killeshin Hills to the west. Designed by Des Smyth and Declan Brannigan this imaginatively laid out course has water in play on six of its 18 U.S.G.A. specification greens. The course, which is playable year round provides a challenging game of golf with some stunning scenery and memorable sunsets. The club house, a log cabin style building includes a fully equipped pro shop, full shower and changing facilities, restaurant and bar. New to Killerig are the luxury 4 star Golf Lodges overlooking the 10th green. Finished to the highest standards with all modern conveniences they provide the perfect base for a golfing or leisure holiday in Carlow.

GOLF & STEAK SPECIAL FROM €40.00

Particularly attractive at the moment is the Golf & Steak special which offers 18 holes of championship golf followed by a Striploin Steak (100% Irish Beef) cooked to your liking and served with onions, mushrooms, salad, pepper sauce and fries. All this for as little as €40.00 per person.

OPEN SENIORS

On the third Monday of every month, Killerig Golf Club host an Open Seniors Competition. A great day out for the young at heart, there are categories for over 50's, 60's and 70's. The entry fee is €15.00. Upcoming dates are:

Monday, 17th October 2005, Monday November 21st 2005, Monday 19th December 2005.

GOLF SOCIETIES

Golf Society rates start at €25.00. If your society has not experienced the challenge of Killerig, contact the Clubhouse who will be delighted to forward you a complimentary fourball for your committee. Golf Societies now have the option of staying overnight in the 4 star Killerig Golf Lodges www.golflodges.ie
