Situated in the heritage village of Leighlinbridge, along the River Barrow with its own private marina. Calm, comfort and impeccable service are the hallmarks of this family-run hotel. The bedrooms, some of which feature spacious suites are all luxuriously appointed. The bar provides big open hearth fires and a relaxing setting, and is popular with both visitors and locals alike. Carvery lunch is served from 12.30 p.m. - 2.30 p.m. and bar food is available throughout the day.

The menu offers a wide selection of seafood in season. Regardless of which of our culinary delights you choose to dine in, you will experience sumptuous food complimented by an extensive range of award wining wines and five star service from our dedicated team, who will ensure every detail, no matter how small is not overlooked. The Lord Bagenal restaurants come recommended by John & Sally McKenna of the Irish Times, Egon Ronay and Les Routiers, to name but a few.

The menu offers a wide variety of both international and local cuisine with a particularly wide selection of fresh seafood in season. It has recently been awarded a Gold Plate by Les Routiers, one of only five restaurants in Ireland who received this accolade. The extensive a la carte and dinner menu is complimented by an award winning wine list, which is widely recognised as one of the most definitive and complete lists in the country.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another feature of the bar and restaurant is the collection of modern contemporary art including paintings by Marky Robinson, Bill Crozier, Dennis Farrell and Shani Rhys-James, to name but a few. The relaxing and friendly atmosphere of this family run hotel offers the ideal location from which to explore Ireland's sunny South East. The Lord Bagenal Inn offers 39 luxurious en-suite rooms comprising of deluxe doubles, twins, family rooms and signature suites.

 
Additionally, The Lord Bagenal has wheelchair access and caters for the disabled. Children are welcome and the fully equipped playroom is open daily with supervision provided at weekends. Child minding services can also be arranged on request.

Banqueting, conferences, parties and weddings are catered for in the spacious function room which offers open views of the marina, and the River Barrow. There are 3 newly purpose-built meeting rooms. A 30 berth marina is attached to the hotel.

If your idea of relaxation includes hill walking, fresh water fishing, hunting, boating or golf then The Lord Bagenal Inn is the ideal place to stay. There are several exciting and challenging golf courses within a half hour drive of Leighlinbridge.

The Lord Bagenal Inn is situated on the banks of the River Barrow and has its own private marina which can accommodate up to 30 boats. Hiking in the nearby Blackstairs Mountains is particularly popular or you could choose to walk the Barrow Track to Graiguenamanagh or St. Mullins. For the equestrian enthusiast there is an excellent equestrian centre located four miles from Leighlinbridge. Gowran Park is within close proximity of The Lord Bagenal Inn while participation on the Carlow Farmers Hunt can also be arranged for the hunting enthusiast.
