Coolanowle House offers a peaceful rural setting on a mixed working farm of 220 acres (100 hectares). The farmhouse has the atmosphere of a welcoming home with antique furnishings. Superbly appointed bedrooms are complemented by pristine bathrooms and all enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Coolanowle Farmhouse was a National Runner Up in the 2001 AIB Rural Tourism Awards in the farmhouse category. The awards are designed to recognise excellence in tourism standards and service.

peaceful haven offers many opportunities for visitors. There are
many local scenic walks and hills to climb among breathtaking scenery.
Located nearby are numerous sites of great historical and cultural
importance. The Brown's Hill Dolmen, an impressive communal burial
chamber dating back 3300 to 2900 B.C. is the largest of its kind
in Europe and is located just 10 miles from Ballickmoyler.
Carlow town located just seven miles away boasts many buildings
of architectural importance including Carlow Courthouse and Castle.
