Situated in a scenic location on the banks of the River Barrow in the centre of Carlow town, Barrow Lodge Townhouse offers the highest standards of accommodation. Barrow Lodge's central location allows the visitor explore some splendid buildings of architectural and historical importance. The ruins of Carlow Castle are imposingly sited on the banks of the River Barrow within close proximity of Barrow Lodge. Other buildings of interest include Carlow Courthouse, St. Patrick's College and Carlow Cathedral. Call to the Tourist Information Office on College Street and ask for a Heritage Town Trail - a self-guided 1 hour tour of the town centre featuring these and other historical buildings.

Sporting enthusiasts are well catered for with excellent championship golf courses at nearby Carlow, Killerig, Mount Wolseley Hilton, Kilkea, Rathsallagh and the world renowned Mount Juliet. The novice is well served with driving ranges and par 3's located close to Barrow Lodge.

Those who wish to sample some of our splendid national walking routes will find plenty of enjoyment in the Barrow Way which passes alongside Barrow Lodge. Meanwhile, the South Leinster and Wicklow Ways in the southern and eastern parts of the county will invigorate and challenge hill walkers.

With its superb riverside location Barrow Lodge is also an ideal base for the angler and canoeist. Other facilities closeby include The Dome, a state of the art family entertainment centre and Graiguecullen Swimming Pool, a fully heated 25m swimming pool with full gymnasium and leisure centre on site.
